Idukki and Cheruthoni Dams :
This is one of Asia’s largest and world's second largest arch dam, constructed across the Kuravan and Kurathi hills. 550 ft. High and 650 ft. Wide, the dam is located close to the Cheruthoni barrage. To its west is the Kulamavu dam.
The gushing water and dense greenery is a sight for sore eyes. Situated at a distance of 60 kms from Thodupuzha, another major attraction nearby is the world famous Idukki wildlife sanctuary.
